Unistream limits transfers to Tajikistan in dollars and euros. Now money transfers can only be made in rubles.

As Asia-Plus news agency writes, representatives of the Unistream money transfer system officially announced the cessation of issuing and sending money transfers in euros and US dollars to the Republic of Tatarstan and in the opposite direction.

“If you previously sent a transfer that was not received for any reason, in euro or dollar currencies from or to Tajikistan, apply for a return of the transfer before September 30, 2023 to the bank sending the transfer,” Unistream representatives say.

Clients of the system are warned that after September 30 it will not be possible to return transfers, therefore they strongly recommend that citizens of Tajikistan take care of this issue in advance.

The National Bank of Tajikistan announced at the end of July this year that transfers through Unistream can now only be made in rubles. This decision is due to changes due to sanctions against five Russian credit institutions and currency restrictions.
