Russia sees Tajikistan as a viable industrial partner.

Russia views Tajikistan as a promising platform for industrial cooperation, Russian Ambassador to Dushanbe Semyon Grigoriev said.

“Now there is a reorientation of Russian exports to the CIS countries, including Tajikistan,” RIA Novosti quotes the diplomat .

According to him, the structure of the Russian economy has changed. There is a large surplus in trade, a significant amount of money has formed that needs to be invested somewhere.

Grigoriev noted that Tajikistan in the eyes of Russia is a promising platform for industrial cooperation and a source of skilled labor.

“Once again, we were convinced that in the conditions of geopolitical turbulence and the formation of new historical realities, the centuries-old ties between Russia and Tajikistan are not subject to political “winds,” the diplomat stressed.
Recall that Semyon Grigoriev was appointed the new Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan in August last year. In this post, he replaced Igor Lyakin-Frolov.
