Avesta.tj | 02/10/2023 | Tajikistan plans to attract up to 1.5 million tourists by 2025. This was announced today to journalists at a press conference by the chairman of the committee for the development of tourism of the republic Kamoliddin Muminzoda.
According to him, to achieve this goal, a number of programs are being implemented, including the construction of tourism infrastructure and new types of tourism and tourist routes. One of the types of tourism is agritourism.
In addition, work is underway to create promotional tourist videos.
Currently, negotiations are underway with the BBC television and radio corporation to shoot a 57-second video and a 4-minute documentary about the tourism opportunities in Tajikistan.
According to the country’s Tourism Development Committee, 999.3 thousand tourists visited Tajikistan in 2022.
